Hey there, per your question, pricing a job is the hardest thing because it depends so much on the individual project...how much work will it need and how might that translate into hours? Will you be ghosting from scratch or more like building on pre-existing material? I can't tip my hand on my own rates as they are undergoing a revision...my tendency is to charge less than the market will bear in order to win customers and their priceless referrals!

Check out the Editorial Freelancers Association for rate ranges on ghosting, and then feel out your client...what is her budget/time frame, is she willing to cut you in on royalties if the book gets published, and so on. Hope that helps!
