- I am a gentle soul who thinks she has finally found her niche in the world. I am a teacher and college instructor by profession, a writer by vocation, and a humanitarian through adoration for the human soul and human spirit.

- My first poem was published when I was at the ripe age of 16, entitled "Butterfly." Since then, I have metamorphed much like the creature I wrote about. I find that the more I write, the more I am the hidden protagonist of my main characters.
Currently, I am working on a faith-based children's series. I finished my first book and am seeking publishers and will release the titles of my works later.
I am also writing a book based on my life and how I overcame child abuse and homelessness.

In terms of the University of Georgia Press, my first memoir was published with them because it won the AWP Award Series in creative nonfiction. By winning the contest, I received a cash award plus "automatic" publication with the Univ. of Georgia Press. And now, yes, I received royalties, just as with any publisher. I love the GA Press!
