I am also writing a book based on my life and how I overcame child abuse and homelessness.

Hi, MiMi, thanks so much for ordering my book! That truly means a great deal to me. In terms of the University of Georgia Press, my first memoir was published with them because it won the AWP Award Series in creative nonfiction. By winning the contest, I received a cash award plus "automatic" publication with the Univ. of Georgia Press. And now, yes, I received royalties, just as with any publisher. I love the GA Press! They're wonderful. All best wishes to you with your writing! And, again, thanks so much for your interest in my story! Sue
