I noticed you years ago and then life and pregnancies got me sidetracked until I saw you again in the Sun. I'm a Mainiac as well, although I've only been here for about 10 years. I love that you put "agent" in quotes. That's how I feel about mine, too.
The publishing world has changed since our literary tastes were formed, but much can be blamed on the recession. Let's wait 2 years before despairing.
I'm traveling this week, and typing on thos iPhone makes me crazy. Let's stay in touch. I'd love to read some of what you've written.

- Michelle, thanks so much for your comments! Regarding "When Pro-Life is Pro-Choice," that's an issue very close to my heart. I based my nonfiction book Unspeakable Truths and Happy Endings in part on two years of getting to know survivors of various kinds of human cruelty. Researching that book was a life-changing experience. So you have my respect for your work with victims of abuse. I'm sure you brought away with you a worldview that is troubling as much as it is enriching.
