Book Promo 101

After promoting the first edition of Forgetting English, I thought I learned a lot. Then the publisher closed, the book was reissued by Press 53, and now I find myself going through yet another around of promotion and learning even more. In addition, I've recently co-founded a boutique press, and as I…See More

I did The Artist's Way years ago and loved it -- I really needed it then! I haven't done morning pages in years -- until recently. I began doing them again just to be writing something that wasn't part of a project -- i.e., for fun…

Midge,

Thanks for being my friend in she-space! Though I hope the Northwest
Writers scene brings us together again soon.

I've been reading for the 1960's lit class I'm putting together--Kerouac,
Burroughs, Cleaver, Plath, Wolfe, Mailer, Didion, Lessing--really taken
by how passionate they were and opinionated--NOT afraid to offend.
It's heartening. I'm applying to take a leave of absence in a year
so I can get cooking on the next book. Take care!
