Isabel Allende, Freedom, and Feminism
I recently had the distinct pleasure of meeting author Isabel Allende at an event where she discussed her book Island Beneath the Sea (2010 English translation), the rescue of the Chilean miners, the irony and joy of being honored by Chile with the 2010 Prize for Literature, and feminism.
