NOT IF YOU HAVE A VAGINA!

WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT?I wrote a book in 2009. It’s entitled COWBOY & WILLS and is about my autistic son and his golden retriever puppy, Cowboy, who only lived for two-and-a-half years. This book is about healing, laughing, hosing poop off a front lawn more times in a day than I brush my teeth and losing your best friend, the dog, not the boy. This book is about surviving and thriving. I wrote a book about parenting. I wrote about family.Did this take me off the PW list? MMMmmmmm, I doubt…See More

It's My Pub Date!!

“It’s My Pub Date” By Monica HollowayToday, my memoir COWBOY & WILLS hits bookstores.I’m writing this with two fingers. Five days ago, I managed to shut my hand in my car door—my right hand—my book-signing hand, and break it. The car was somehow able to lock and I dangled by my right hand while trying to pick the keys up off the pavement with my left. Two ladies, who worked at the donut shop across the street, witnessed the scene and came running with a metal bucket filled with ice and a…See More

Hey Monica,

It's so great to hear from you. I've finished my memoir, God Has No Daughters, the story of my early adult time in a small Bible based cult. Looking for an agent. I took a leave of absence from teaching next year to concentrate on writing. How are you?

Hi Monica,

I just joined this group at Carrie's invitation. It's so nice to find you again, and to see you've got another book coming out. I can hardly wait to read it. I hope all's well with you.

Love.

I know! It just isn't right, is it? Will you be doing a book tour through Cleveland? Are you attending any writing workshops in 2010? We'll have to make it happen.

I'm happy to share any tips I've learned along the way. My blog now gets over 10,000 hits a month, so I would love to use it to promote worthy causes/books/people!

Wil is GREAT - just turned 13 on Tuesday. I grieved for months prior, then was joyous the day of. He's happy. What else matters? How is your Wills?
