Hi, Monica.  I bet you've gotten lots of this same message.  I'm inviting you to join a blog hop.  Start by answering these 10 questions:

What is the working title of your book or project?

Where did the idea for this book or project come from?

What genre is it?

Who would you choose to play your characters in a movie?

What is a one-sentence synopsis of your book/project?

Self-published or agented?

How long did it take to write your first draft?

What other books/stories would you compare it with?

Who or what inspired you to write it?

What else might pique readers' interests?

Please reply and let me know if you're interested.  If so, after you've answered the questions on your blog, list me and my blog address, then other writers you've tagged with links to their blogs.  Let me know if you're interested.  Thelma Zirkelbach

Hi, thanks for your welcome back in August last year. I joined then, but was part of so many groups that I never managed to pop back on the site. Anyway, hi again!

BlogHer 2011 Diaries – Stories From the Front #4

Posted on August 7, 2011 at 4:00pm 2 Comments

And so, my first ever conference for bloggers comes to a screeching halt.

NOOOOO!!!

I was just beginning to learn at the feet of giants!  And by this I mean, bloggers who have been blogging way longer than I and who have far more experience than this gal from Queens, aka, me. Though, true, today does mark my one-year anniversary of blogging. Hooray for me!

But I was beginning to recognize that Mommy Bloggers--of which I am…

BlogHer 2011 Diaries – Stories From the Front #3

Posted on August 5, 2011 at 11:30pm 2 Comments

Having spent my first day at BlogHer 2011, and returned home exhausted and full—because, frankly, there was too much to eat—here are my random thoughts and observations on Day One:

Everything seemed well organized, except maybe the speed dating during the morning session. But perhaps it’s too much to expect 3,000 or so participants to form proper lines and switch to the next person every couple of minutes. Plus, it was hard to hear the instructions above all the chatter.…

She Writers, I am humbled. Indeed, I am in awe of the many talented people I am meeting here at BlogHer '11, who have blogs with a purpose.

One blogger I met writes about infertility and the struggle to get pregnant. Another writes about children with special needs. I met Karen, who writes for cats and about cats. Imagine that. I also met Trey who writes a blog called Daddy Mojo. Dominque has written a book and it's about to come out in paperback. It's called, "Slow Love - How I Lost… Continue

BlogHer 2011 Diaries - News from the Front

Here I am at BlogHer 2011 in sunny San Diego (aka, my hometown), and all I can say is,

Somebody pinch me!

I can't believe I'm having so much fun and the festivities are just getting started--at least for me it is, because I didn't sign up for the pre-conference activities. But still, this is grand. After all, I'm surrounded by my people! My fellow bloggers, mostly women, but some men, too.

And here's the thing about bloggers: they're not shy and they carry a… Continue
