and sometimes index fingers,

are torn up

and bleed from picking.

I can’t stop.

I’ve tried so many…

I started writing this last night at 4 A.M. I have no clue where it's going, but I am super excited to find out! It is written in verse. I've been doing that a lot lately. Maybe it will merge to be a collection of verse stories- who knows.

I can’t remember when

and if I ever had anything

worth anything at all.

Always sacrificing myself

for the wrong thing.

Always too far

in between.

Always too far away

from where I…

Hey Nicole! I am so sorry - I didn't see your post on my wall before! Where do you family live? I moved here 3 years ago and my dad and stepmom just moved to Eastover, about an hour and a half from me. :)

I'm not working on anything of a fictional nature right now (unless I'm smacked upside the head with the muse stick) because I'm co-authoring a nonfiction book with a friend in Scotland. The mindsets for fiction and nonfiction are so completely different (fiction is creative, whereas nonfiction is more structured, and while it can also be creative, it is also a bit sterile due to research, footnotes and such) that I don't think I'll be dipping my toes back into fiction until this book is complete.

Which is fine with me, I know for certain this will be published. It'll be nice to have something in print lol.

Excuse my vernacular...you're...not "your" in regards to you being "so young & so talented" LOL. I can be grammatically conscious, especially when it's late.
