Evaluating Progress and Adjusting

An Unopened Gift - the poetry of Adrienne Rich

Facing Facts - The One New Year's Writing Resolution I intend to keep

I've learned I need to check-in with myself periodically about my writing goals and progress to actually keep moving forward. Otherwise, I too easily let forward progress slide as I let myself fret over family matters, etc. and don't stay focused on my work. So, for 2012, I will be Facing Facts on the Fifth of each month.  More on this tomorrow, but here's what some other authors offered for their writing items to check in on:…See More

Pam, Adding my voice to the welcome. If you’re looking for a place to jump in, we’d love to have you join us in the Novelists – Struggling or Not group.

And maybe Midwestern She Writers, too? I read two years ago at a lovely bookstore in Milwaukee called Schwartz's (now sadly closed). I'm in CA now, but grew up mostly in Chicago and learned to ski in Wisconsin. :-)

Enjoy the site!

Pam, I just opened the door to the novelist group for you - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. I’ll look forward to chatting with you!
