I'm from small-town Oklahoma, studied at Stanford, spent a semester in Russia, worked a summer in China, and began to realize travel, writing, and politics were my passion. I recently published my first book, Fast Times in Palestine, a work of travel adventure memoir journalism about my years as a young journalist in the Middle East.
