Who I am:
I retired from the State of Arizona in 2011. I worked in Child Protective Services as an investigator and supervisory positions. I also worked in CPS in Florida. I've worked in non-profit agency programs and management and for the Air Force managing and delivering programs for active duty personnel and their family members. I've taken writing classes and attended writing groups working on acheiving my life long dream of writing a book. I have two blogs; one at the TucsonCitizen.com, Pats-bits-and-bytes and on Google, Patabit.blogspot.com. I am working on a couple of different projects.

I'm a work in progress... :) I am TRYING to write a memoir, mystery and other books..I know... a little ambitious for someone not yet published. But I have a lot to say and share and been waiting all my life for the time to write.
Media outlets that I currently write for:

My writing is:
Fiction, Nonfiction, Memoir, Blog Posts
Outlets where I review books, TV, or film:
I've done this informally on food, restaraunt and travel sites.
Services I offer to other writers:
Good will and support always. I will happily share what I learned and resources I've become aware of. I will also, unfortunately, share my sense of humour.
I'm part of these writers' groups or salons:
Arizona Mystery Writers; Aspiring Writers
My professional associations:
As above....and professionally...I can't think right now, I will have to get back to you. But...I am on Linked In.
I found out about She Writes from:
Beth Lane

And just, I'm saying

I worked in Child Protective Services Investigations in Florida and Arizona.  I also worked for the Air Force, in the then called Mission Support Squadron, managing/developing programs, support, training and counseling for military personnel and their families.  I've been employed in non-profit management and have done fund raising, program development, training and curriculum development.  I also worked for the Department of Corrections, a children's home in Florida, an agency that helps adults through residential and training programs in New York, and lived in several areas of the country...my husband was active duty military officer - now retired, but kicking.

Hi and welcome to SheWrites!

This is a terrific place network and connect.

If you are writing memoir, please come to this site for 12 hours of free teaching.

This is my gift to writers because I know, for a fact, how hard it is to create our art.
