Your project sounds interesting to me. I am in my second draft of my novella, so I would be able to send you only the beginning. My novella is about a confident single woman that gets involved in destructive relationship. She has to…"
"I'm not clear here. The "heathen and pagan" threw me off. Are you looking only for people who follow pagan beliefs, or are you also looking for people who follow a spiritual path beyond religion? Those who see God/Goddess, the…"
I have a completed novel that has already gone through numerous revisions. I am looking for an overall critique and will do the same in return. I am open to exchanging a few chapters to make sure we are a good match. My novel, Veil of Walls, is about a young New Englander who finds herself trapped in Iran after the sudden death of her parents.I like reading literary fiction, especially stories that take place in other cultures and other times.I have published a few short stories and essays in…See More
"The issue is, self-published books are not vetted by anyone, so anything can get published - the awesome and the crappy.
While there are some successes, the average sale of a self-published book is 75 copies. Dont' remember where I saw this…"
"Response to Joyce Daniels: I also have a completed work and would like an objective eye before sending it out to agents. Title: Veil of Walls. Read synopsis and excerpt on my website www.patriciapanahi.com and let me know. We can exchange a chapter…"
"In response to Christine, I have found online workshops less than satisfying. I would not recommend anything from Writer's Digest. I do like the online critique site www.critiquecircle.com where you get and receive critiques from writers all…"
"I have written a novel about a young American forced to grow up on Iran and fight for the right to make her own life choices. I have been wondering whether it is mainstream or literary or should I call it Women's fiction. It is done and I am…"
"I'm new to this page. Is there a list of all the She Writes books somewhere? I am an avid reader and always looking for new and interesting material about spirituality, health and nutrition, and literary fiction that takes me to other cultures…"
"Hi Patricia! I received your note. Would it be well with you if i use it in my column? If it's not, that is quite fine. I will do some journey work on it next week and reconnect with you on it next week.
I hope you are enjoying the…"
Hi Patricia, I went to your beautiful Website and read your amazing bio and excerpt. I admire how willing you are to share your life story and certainly understand how the call to become a writer was a startling and even frightening revelation. I don't know if you're reading the other posts here, but just in case you missed it, my subject matter of my novel is childhood abuse--a story told from the point of view of the 12 year old child in third person. If you're still interested, let me know and I'll contact you through your site. The Best, jd

"Jacky - your dilemma is one many know well, obviously. For myself, I liken the construction of a plot & characters with two metaphors; let's call them A and 2.
A: imagine a chess game, one in which you must construct each move by both…"
