Watched the video (with my husband) holding my breath. Zounds! We hike that arch but don't ride it. I must live to ride--and write--another day!

My husband and I spend about half the year in Utah. Love to mountain bike in Moab! Great antidote to sitting in front of the computer for hours.

Hi Patty,

Last month you asked about Italian bike tours and I'm so sorry I'm just now responding! I think I was traveling when I first saw your message. I'd love to help, if some insight would still be useful. I have a friend who gives awesome bike tours through Tuscany -- let me know if you'd like to connect with him! He's Swedish and his wife is American; I've been friends with them since I took my first tour with them in 2006...best tours in Toscana!

Warmest,

Krissy

Hi Patty! Yay, another non-mom writer! Seems the web is saturated with mommies. I know I have a lot to say about not being a mom in this culture. I'm on hiatus right now going through some emotional recovery, so you may not see too much of me around here for a few weeks, but I'll be back. I'm so so happy I created this group. Have at it and welcome!

Thank you for the lovely comments about my lifestyle ramblings. Sometimes I feel like I'm on an island--given my decisions, but I'm happy. And I want people to know. What you said about your husband and you, feeling married on first sight, I have that, too. And it was never about a white dress or stamped approval from the state.
Anyway, thanks! Jen

Hi Patty,
Thanks for just making my day! I'm certainly planning to "kick some ass" as you say with this book. I think that it's time that women who don't have children, whether by choice or by circumstance, had a voice in the world. I'm hoping mine will be it. :-)
Thanks for saying "hi."

I Woke Up in Harlem

I witnessed the sun rise over Harlem. Harlem NYC.How different it is to wake up here than in Raleigh. No birds singing. No birds in sight. No grass, few trees. No greenery to be seen. But I have found a LOVE for it. I walked down Lenox Avenue, 125th…See More
