DONE

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 12:16pm 21 Comments

John McPhee has a piece called “Structure” in the Writing Life column of the January 14, 2013 issue of The New Yorker.

The last paragraph of the article keeps going round in my mind:

“People often ask how I know when I’m done—not just when I’ve come to the end, but in all the drafts and…

The Reluctant Self-Publisher's Update on THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION

So many of you have been writing to ask me why The Answer to Your Question is not for sale on Amazon yet!

Okay, a few of you have actually inquired (thank you). After all, I spouted all over the Internet that it would be available on January 1, 2013.  That was my publication date, and here I sit…

Thanks for the friend request. Did you recently get a feature article here? I thought I recognized the cover of your book!

Hello Paulette, I think you are wonderful to become your own publisher. Writing is not as hard as actually getting the book all together and out into the market. I self published my first book. This time however, I have tried something different and I pray it works. With the help of Christian Manuscript Submissions I am completing a proposal of my second book. This will be placed on their website for publishers and agents to read, and if one of these is interested, then they will contact me.  I hope this happens.

Paulette, Welcome to the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!
