Let it go

Let my heart walk

Let it go at last

To walk barefoot along the path

To walk freely into its madness

Let the ice melt in the pockets

Let it enter the tunnel of light or darkness

Because the griever’s journey

This journey of ghosts and of other…

Should evolve with the sparkling sand and gold

But I am still afraid in the nights

I walk backwards in fear to let…

Forget not

When the moon is out

We can see the stars hanging in the night

When the boat silently goes

And we float over the salty surface

We then cherish all the moments

All the emotions of this life

The night will always be white

Although there are no…

Famished

The indifferent waves broke the solid bread

Turning everything into frail dust and sand

While your hands

Under the rancid sun

Dug for so, so long

The soil of this earth

The wind unfolded the forgotten leaves

Walking them into a trip across the fog

While you let go

The famished abyss

You paused to sink

in the ocean of ivory and falls

Like the tears crushing the nights with… Continue

Forgiveness is Love

Posted on October 20, 2010 at 1:30am 2 Comments

On my hands had bloomed

Dreams and illusions

And perhaps I was naive

As my heart couldn’t imagine

The one betraying

With the coins in the hands

With my pockets with holes

My smile, my truth!

And I thought I could not forgive

And upon the cross and serenity

Oh Lord! I sometimes wanted to forget

But to slash from my… Continue

An Eternal Moment

Posted on October 18, 2010 at 11:00am 2 Comments

Everything stopped

the wind

the birds

even the grandfather clock

in vain was to spin the platter

it couldn't be changed

it couldn't be buried

it is Life

and it will never die

Nothing else mattered

only the moment

the endless feeling

the white emotions of doves

one eternal moment

when eyes… Continue

You

You can’t be anything less than a star, immense, beautiful, glossy,

Shining even from afar, even when silent, visible,

Giving hope, leaving seeds, in the infertile lands,

And in the shadows of the fearful hearts.

You can’t be anything less than a star,

Because your heart,

Made the rest of the world

To never feel anything less

but always accepted,

Always… Continue

The Name of Love

Posted on September 23, 2010 at 9:00pm 2 Comments

(Painting in acrylics by Piccola Dowling)

Damp the faces of loveFalling bitterly their tears,

Brackish

Salty

So full of pain like a wounded dove

The knot tighten inevitably on throats

Wrapped the souls in an endless roll

Entangled

Confused

So lost in the nothingness

A grandfather clock hopelessly shouts

Threatening to finish the… Continue

Your work is so beautiful. Would there be any chance that you are willing to let my literary journal showcase it? www.caperjournal.com

I'd love to showcase it (of course you'd be credited, with a link to your work, pages, site, etc.)

Lovely, lovely!

Gorgeous artwork. Your poetry is, in a word, wonderful. You have that gift that many Spanish poets share, which is that sense of being deeply in touch with the soul. Have you recorded any of your poems in Spanish? I'd love to hear you read one or two.

I Woke Up in Harlem

I witnessed the sun rise over Harlem. Harlem NYC.How different it is to wake up here than in Raleigh. No birds singing. No birds in sight. No grass, few trees. No greenery to be seen. But I have found a LOVE for it. I walked down Lenox Avenue, 125th…See More
