Employees often encounter unfair treatment in the workplace that can be upsetting and even unbearable, but isn't illegal. Unless the treatment is based on the employee's sex, race, religion, national origin, disability, age, or on another protected category, a lawyer probably can't help. And I just checked out Ms. JD - which I didn't know about. (I used to practice with Latham & Watkins, but have been inactive CA Bar member since I started writing years ago.) So interesting how much more connection there is among women lawyers these days. I don't miss practicing law (although I loved it when I was doing it), but I do miss the smart, spunky women I worked with.
