"Great voice! You captured the situation through your protagonist's eyes beautifully. Keep writing!"

I do not speak Tamil, except for a few random words like "crazy" and "snake." My husband's family speaks a mix of Tamil and Telugu, so I'm not sure which to study first. Probably Tamil, since it would be useful throughout the region we're most likely to visit. I'd love to learn Hindi, too, though.
By the way, are you finding that writing for sites like Suite 101 is worth your while monetarily? I'm assuming that the exposure is more attractive than the compensation, and generally having a hard time figuring out if I should start writing for sites that work that way, or go the route of pitching articles to major publications. So many questions...
Take care,
H
I am an American married to a Tamilian, living in the Midwestern U.S., so I was thrilled to see an Indian woman on here.
I love the clarity and practicality of your blog, and would leave a comment if I could, but I didn't see a place to do so. So instead I signed up as a follower.
I have two blogs: marriedtothemasala.blogspot.com, about the mix of cultures in my house and the U.S., and buildingsandskies.blogspot.com, which I created as a home for my photos of those two things.
Be well,
H
Best wishes,
Victoria
I saw your blog on the Mom Writers Lit. Mag. page and checked it out. You have some good stuff up there. (especially love the photo of the car boots) I was wondering if you have ever done any writing for Helium. It may interest you to check it out. :)
