Alle C. Hall replied to the discussion 'Simultaneous Submissions' in the group Essay Writing
"I would add to the excellent advice below that to paint the town with submissions leads to the overwhelm editors experience. In turn, this clogs up the submissions system and it takes more time for me to get a reply. If I know an editor to whom I…"

Ellen Estilai replied to the discussion 'Simultaneous Submissions' in the group Essay Writing
"I agree.  In your cover letter, let each publication that accepts simultaneous submissions know that you are submitting to more than one.  Then, when you have an acceptance, let the others know as soon as possible. "

Rachel, Welcome to the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!
