Help! I have a dessert cookbook coming out on October 26th. I'm very excited, but I'm also completely overwhelmed and have no idea what to expect. I have a handful of book signings and media appearances lined up, but I'm trying to balance that with running a business (in a very busy time of year for us) and family obligations (like getting my daughter to school on time!)Does anyone have any tips on what the first few weeks of a book launch are like, and how to balance it with your everyday…See More

I Woke Up in Harlem

I witnessed the sun rise over Harlem. Harlem NYC.How different it is to wake up here than in Raleigh. No birds singing. No birds in sight. No grass, few trees. No greenery to be seen. But I have found a LOVE for it. I walked down Lenox Avenue, 125th…See More
