I actually do this for authors as a business, but I'll throw in some two cents.  First, check out the reviewers' blogs and make sure you like their review style.  Some reviewers only post the backliner, book cover, and then…

I think that showing that comparison to young writers--or to any group of listeners who wants to learn about writing--can be valuable. Seeing the difference between early draft and the finished project can be eye-opening. It makes for good fodder in…

I forgot to add my blog link. Here it is. And it looks like I have very few followers, but it posts to facebook, where I do have 600+ friends, many of whom read it. Does anybody else post their blog to FB or elsewhere? Becky's Blog

I would love to host you too!  My blog is www.pagereaders.com ; I had also been doing a Blog Talk Radio show, but I'm winding that down due to the changes happening at Blog Talk Radio. Congrats on the new novel!

I envy your organization skills, Elizabeth, really I do. I have a hard time getting past the overwhelming feeling that gets me! I also have no idea how to start the conversation as I always feel that I'm pushing myself on someone. Does that…

I wrote this post after my first blog tour, but now I can't find the link. So here it is again -- Virtual book blog tours are an inexpensive way of getting the word out about your newly released book. Bloggers in a particular niche tend to know…

Congrats on the book and the drawing. Sounds like this is your year. I love Children's Lit! Good for you for that labor of love.

Jan--Wouldn't that be something!? I hope my book has some power. I can't imagine taking Mark Twain's place...but I've been working on it for seven years, and there are hopes. It's got death and religious struggles and drama...ANd if you actually use it, I'm applying for a grant to pay for school visits if schools or students buy class sets. If you have your students read it, maybe I could come visit. I teach YA lit in a children's lit class, too.
Thanks for the note!

Hi Rebecca--When your book comes out, let me know. I teach young adult literature to future secondary school teachers, and I can recommend it to my students. Who knows, maybe it will replace Huckleberry Finn, which today's students hate to read.

Hi Rebecca,

Thanks! Will have to check out your friend's play at NM school for the Deaf. I work in the middle schools here, doing writing workshops called PEN in the Classroom as well as Girls Groups with Planned Parenthood using "Choices" which are going really well. Am going to start to blog about it. If you get Choices, make sure it is the 2009 edition. Do you have a book I can read?

Hi, Becky! Don't let the electronic world of social networking overwhelm you. If you feel too digitized, go for a nice bike ride.

I shared a post titled "The Birth of the Diversity Blogs" today.  I wanted to share about the various cultures and peoples of the world and I figured that I should make that the theme of my blog.  :D Enjoy!
