- A mom, writer, thinker, talker, Christian and odd duck . . . I write about religion, life, parenting, education and culture, but not in the usual way. I've been working on my "elevator speech" and so far I have this monstrosity:
"I speak to people who sometimes struggle to sustain their faith on a Christian message disconnected from the reality of life and the world around them. My message offers a vision of Christianity which is firmly grounded in reality, not hostile to the world and based on a deep spirituality and faithfulness to the Christian Way. For those who are struggling to maintain or grow in faith, My hope is that this vision can offer sustenance for a Christian life that is true to the faith and to the reality of the life as it is - warts, doubts, pain and all."
