Courage

Read an essay about my trip to Coba, Mexico, to a group of writers.  Writers say they appreciate what you wrote, but feel free to comment on your craft.  Reading to them is like volunteering to try out the noose.  The group was kind and complimentary.  By gosh, I might try that again.See More

Robin, Welcome to the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!

Forgot to mention that the link in your message to the Wordpress Bloggers group is wonky. You have http://debutauthors.wordpress.comwould/  instead of http://debutauthors.wordpress.com/ .   -- mr

Robin: I'm not sure I'm putting this in the right place, but I'm responding to your WordPress Bloggers post requesting feedback on your debutauthors blog. I love the theme and the colors, for one thing. The background color is easier on the eyes than white.

Two things I noticed. #1: the long list of tags at the top of each post is distracting. I thought it was copy at first. I'm not sure how the tags are generated but there seem to be way too many of them for your entries. #2: your links in your widgets show the URL, where the name or title of the destination would be more useful to the reader.  Perhaps you used a Text widget instead of a Links widget to create them? A Links widget should automatically code the text for you.

Other than that, it's an attractive, welcoming blog.

I Woke Up in Harlem
