In this era of self-publishing, book bloggers have gained prominence at being the forefront of publishing. They are the first in line to tackle the slush pile and separate the potential best-sellers from the books that don't show promise. Darcie Chan managed to sell 400,000 copies of her ebook after being rejected by publishers and agents. Just goes to prove that self-publishing is indeed a viable and successful option for many writers who are tired of the long and tedious submission processes of publishing houses.
