I haven't been on SheWrites much lately.  Been busy doing my own "thang" I suppose.  I'm curious as to what my SheWrites friends are up to, writing-wise, though.  Right now, I'm waiting to hear back from 2 agents who have requested my full manuscript of The Time Minders.  I'm still working on Kingdoms of Blood & Magic, but not as diligently as I should, since I've been querying/submitting for the TTM, doing scads of tutoring at my daughters' school and work for our church's youth group.  How about YOU?

I don't think "erotica" is offputting, just informative.  I agree with you that you don't want to shock people who aren't expecting it.  But she makes an interesting point.  How much does erotica cross over into literary?  How much does any genre, actually?  Who would you be "putting off"?  The readers/consumers?  Or the agents/publishers?

Thanks for touching base. Great to hear you've got a bunch of things on the go. I just got my first piece published in a book - Chicken soup for the soul: new moms. And I've got another one coming out in May called Torn that we're trying to do lots of promotion for. Very exciting times! How about you - what are you working on these days?

I'm actually in Beavercreek ( the burbs, the Battling Beavers, Go Creek!) but when I enter my zip code, computers always mark it as Dayton. Dayton sounds a little more sophisticated though. I'm not particulary fond of Beavercreek so I don't try to correct it,lol.

I agree about having something to work with, but mine's huge pile of crap LOL. But I'll do it again next year. My family actually respects my writing time during the challenge.
