Who I am:
I'm a journalist, a blogger, a freelance writer, a mother, a Tucsonan and Mainer, former children's bookstore owner and social science educator. In June I'll start to collect Social Security and write my book proposal. I've written for Publishers Weekly, American Bookseller, Tucson Weekly, and zillions of articles for the Arizona Jewish Post.

Editing, I've edited many books and dissertations, from "Esperanza Means Hope" by Gwen Harvey to a part of "Yoga for Depression" by Amy Weintraub. I'm a collaborator with Julie Ray Creative, writing content for websites and brochures.
I'm part of these writers' groups or salons:
I was part of a women's autobiography group in Maine for more than 20 years, and have recently started a writing group with published writers in Tucson.
My professional associations:
I served on the board of the Association of Children's Booksellers, am now on the board of Our Place Clubhouse in Tucson, an organization that helps place people recovering from serious mental illness in jobs. I'm chair of the History/Memoir/Biography author committee for the Tucson Festival of Books -- "The Best Book Festival Under the Sun."
