For me, its the opposite -- too empathetic. We write what we live and we feel what we live therefore we write what we feel. I think its my real life that helps me open up to my writerly empathy. For me, if I can feel it then i'm more able to…

Why Do You Write and What's Your Process

Thumbnail
As an author, psychotherapist, wife, and mother who also does abstract paintings and studies her dreams I am incredibly interested in hearing authors discuss what brought them to writing, and the process by which they continue creating.

Well, just living a few miles from South Beach, FL would be more than enough temptation. Between almost nude sun kissed muscular bodies and the party-all-night dives, I doubt the word vigin would still be applicable, Kate.

Lori - I think you've just sold quite a few books with your last discussion. All I can say is "genius marketing":) and a very open discussion which was long overdue. The writer in us wants to move on to writing and not deal with the…

A LITTLE ABOUT ME : I work for a large Publisher in the US but in my free time, I'm a closet writer. I've been writing since I was 13 with creativity galore. My weakness in writing, the dreaded dialog and the dreaded editing. I HATE EDITING! I was raised in a family of caucasion and caribbean grandparents on the beautiful isle of Jamaica. I have two amazingly wonderful 16 yr old son's and quite a few manuscripts, both complete and incomplete from various genre's.

Genre - ROMANCE
Cries of a Hummingbird -being edited and title not confirmed
Lethally Yours -being edited and title not confirmed
Approximately 8 incomplete manuscripts in various forms

Thanks Friends and Family

I have had one traumatic situation after the other this past year and I must say thanks to my friends, family and wonderful group of writers who kept me from packing it all in, pulled me up from the depth of depression, encouraged me and held me up on this journey I travel. My deepest apreciation to all of you including my wonderful friend Andrea who listen to all my ideas, pain, fears and loss, my phenomenal sister Constance who held me a million miles away and my amazing Facebook Transforming Women who walk with me daily in broken heel and barefooted, never letting me fall while reminding that "Life is Journey".
