Along the southern coast of Brazil are patches of the once extensive Brazilian Atlantic rain forest, a rain forest that used to run the length of Brazil's coast. Now, just 5-7% of that great forest, older than the Amazon, is intact in 2012. Despite its reduced size, and it’s listing as the second most endangered rain forest in the world after Madagascar’s, the Brazilian Atlantic rain forest, can boast more indigenous tree species per hectare than any other forest in the world.
I originally came here to paint endangered plants, but now it's my home and where I write from and paint.

Mid-way through my current novel’s rewrite I came across an article in the November/December 2011 issue of Poets and Writers “A Writer’s Daily Habit” by Ellen Sussman, the excellent advice I gleaned: break writing down into 45 minute blocks with 15 minute breaks in between.
