Profile Information

Who I am:
As aspiring author from Louisville, Kentucky. I have loved to read and write as far back as I can remember, and I've been doing both for just as long. However, it took the dedication I saw in my fiance via his grueling nights slaving over PhD-level materials for me to understand that my beloved outlet deserved no less effort. So, here I am with two published works out in the world for all to see and more on the way.
Connect with me online! My site, blog, or Twitter handle are:
tlcurtis.us
readtlc.wordpress.com
readtlc.blogspot.com
facebook.com/readtlc
twitter.com/tl_curtis
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to, and any scripts or plays I've authored:
I have published a novelette entitled "Show Her" and a collection of my poetry and lyrics entitled "Feign".
Media outlets that I currently write for:
None.
My writing is:
Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Blog Posts
Outlets where I review books, TV, or film:
None.
Services I offer to other writers:
Proofreading (I just LOVE reading people's work and giving my feedback. I work with another budding author and he allows me to read his work before he publishes it, and it's the best feeling in the world!!).
I'm part of these writers' groups or salons:
Shewrites.com (that counts, right?)
My professional associations:
None.
I found out about She Writes from:

Getting My '1' Back: 2.24.13

Posted on February 25, 2013 at 7:49am 0 Comments

Great! Things are getting back on track, and I’m very much hoping to be out of the 260s FOREVER before the end of March. I’ve been weighing myself daily in order to keep myself mindful of the goal that I have set for the week (to lose one pound) and where I currently am that day in relation to that goal. I understand that weight fluctuates through the day based on recent food intake, physical activity, water retention, etc. However, it does seem to have worked to keep me aware.

I’ve…

To not get into the trend of what may come off as ‘bashing’ because of the copious amounts of suggested edits, I just chose the first 3 sentences of this article to proofread. The full article is available at StudyMode.com.

Chick-filosophy: Separating Author and Work

Posted on August 3, 2012 at 8:23am 0 Comments

In case you haven’t heard, there’s been quite a stir this week related to the Chick-fil-A fast food chain. Apparently, the president of the company, Dan Cathy, expressed that he believed in the Holy Bible’s definition of marriage, denoting that he didn't support the idea of same-sex couples being married. The reaction following this action was a…

Hi T.L.,

I really respect you and your work.  I have read your posts here on She Writes.  I think they are great.

If you don't mind drop by my new blog... Become familiar with a relatively unknown art form - the choreopoem and tell me what you think.  For real...  :-) http://rwbbtheater.blogspot.com/

T.L., We're delighted to have you join us in the novelist group! If you haven’t done so already, you might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion. We do a live chat Wednesdays at 1 EST, with instructions on how to participate in the "Our Water Cooler" box near the top of the group page. And we save the wall for discussion, but welcome links to helpful blog posts on the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread and to published books in the “Our Published Novels” one. I hope you’ll enjoy the group.

Bestselling Author of four novels, including The Wednesday Sisters (a writing group novel) and the forthcoming The Wednesday Daughters (Random House/Ballantine)
