Hello Terri.

Tuned in or clicked on my She Writes again this evening. Thank you for your comment. I was actually getting set up to do some more postings. Thank you for coming by.

Hi Terri, and thanks for the invitation. I look forward to joining the poetry group. I haven't even been attending the poetry workshop and readings here because my daughter has stolen my car (gave better reason for needing it than I had). I will be participating soon.

Terri -
You have no idea how hard it was for me to find a picture with my eyes open - I have a strong reaction to flash. So it was either a picture with a hat or with dark glasses. My passport photo is truly ghastly - it looks more like a police-lineup photo. It also was the motivation to let my hair grow long again. One security guard - an older man - actually looked at the photo, then at me, and commented that I look much younger in person. Most younger men wouldn't have noticed.

Glad to!
Now I've procrastinated writing something more for you on the Adoption and Writing group tonight, so perhaps I should add my name to the procrastinators' group:)

Hi Terri- thanks for inviting me - wish I could live up to your expectations about not really being a procrastinator. The trouble is, there are so many interesting and/or relaxing things to do that take up inordinate amounts of time. My current time sponge (or at least the only one that has pretentions of leading somewhere) is studying Chinese. I haven't made much progress on the more practical, spoken language (the local Sichuan dialect is rather different from the Beijing Mandarin I'm learning, plus the tones are a problem for me. I've learned about 500 characters, but I'd need about 3000 characters to read a newspaper, plus it takes time just not to forget what I've learned. I wish I had come across Chinese 30 years ago, when learning was faster and more permanent, and I'd have more time to put it to practical use.
Kjersti is here for the summer, and is not interested in studying Chinese, so I'm trying to find things for us to do together. We've just started painting again - her in acrylics and me in watercolor. I'll never be a master of the art, but sometimes by accident Icome up with something I like.

Terri,

I have a couple of active thespian cousins-I'll pass along the link to the women playwrights website. Your discussion thread about procrastinators eventually writing made me laugh, and inevitably, it is true, something gets written, even if simply cataloguing the distractions involved in getting to the page. Nice to meet you!

Oct. 16, 2011, I fell and tore up my right shoulder. A month later, they operated, nine procedures, three pins and four different entries into my shoulder to repair it. Now after all this time, I am finally doing strength training and they are allowing me to drive again.
