That's great you're on pace for your goal!  How did you get so lucky to get advice from a lit agent?  Actually I used http://www.editorialdepartment.com/, its founder is one of the writers for "Self Editing for Fiction Writers", which was by far one of the most helpful books I have read.  The staff there is great, friendly, tells you what you need to hear to improve the book but in a tactful way.  I haven't yet tried their line editing however.  They're affordable, but its still a bit too pricey for my budget right now!

The first group I belonged to was with Elnora King, who co-authored romance novels with Pamela Wallace. Pam, A Fresno gal, won an academy award for Witness and she currently writes for Hallmark Channel. Now I'm with three ladies, all from that first group. We meet at my house and read and critique fifty pages each week by email. One lady writes Christian romance, the other is young adult fantasy. I write erotic suspense, though I don't add pages and pages of couples fumbling around on the bedsheets as I find that kind of book boring. The first in the SexToyMurder Series is Deadly Vibrations which has some sex but not much. I call it erotic because the murder is done with a vibrator and my character is a sexologist. They say write what you know. I also belonged to a critique group through Sisters In Crime, but that one is now dead. No pun intended. I think we need critique groups because those of us who write can't see our mistakes.
