Profile Information

Who I am:
My first book is titled "A Luscious Illumination", an historical novel about a real woman, Berthe Morisot,one of the founders of Impressionism. Set in 19th century Paris, Berthe overcomes the extreme limitations put on women of her "grande bourgeoisie" class to mold herself into an artist of soaring talent, blend marriage, motherhood and a professional painting career, becoming an archetype for todays modern women. .
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to, and any scripts or plays I've authored:
"A Luscious Illumination" is my first book and is currently about half way through the 5th draft. It was recently named as a semi-finalist in the Works-in-Progress category of the Faulkner-Wisdom Writing Competition for 2010.
Media outlets that I currently write for:
I am currently in the process of updating and recreating my blog on unitybarry.com. The Redhill Review will be an online literary magazine I am starting to give exposure to the many talented but unpublished writers in the San Francisco Bay Area.
