How about Crossroads Cafe? It's part of the Delancey St. Foundation, on the Embarcadero, it supports a great cause, and the cafe also has a book store! Good food, lots of seating (tables, sofas, etc.), with a large eating area in the garden.

Marcia, hello! Yes, I was very pleased to get that mention of Face in the Mirror...especially in a magazine read by over 20 million! Now how do we get 1/10 of one percent to buy the book? Hope all is well with your and yours!
Victoria, I got so excited when I saw your name in my "USA Weekend" insert in my AZ Republic! Column was entitled "Explore Your Self-Image with These Books." Congrats!!

Would you like to be a member of the Diane Middlebrook salon for women writers in San Francisco? Usually we meet in SF at my flat on Sundays, 3-6, but our next meeting is at my Palo Alto home on August 23, 3-6. For the first (and posibly last) time, the Aug. 23 event will include significant others of both sexes. It's an end-of-summer social egathering featuring Edie Gelles, author of "Abigail and John," and John Felstiner, author of "Can Poetry Save the Earth?" (John's wife is Mary Felstiner, a salon member.)
Let me know if this is something that would interest you.
Wonderful news! I am a little confused about the "reporting an issue," does that have to do with the book cover? If it does, I have a good answer. :) We have been wonderfully, totally overwhelmed by the response to SHE WRITES over the last 24 hours, and will be working on uploading book covers from our new members over this weekend. Hopefully we will get to our goal of one-cover-per-author by the end of the holiday weekend. Is there one of your books you'd specifically like to feature? Let us know and we will do it!!

Cris, I started writing when I finally believed in myself enough and allowed my voice to emerge and trust the process. The piece I'm working on is a one-woman show about mental illness and it was bubbling under the surface for years. It was…
Wow, Janet. CONGRATULATIONS.
Yours is a fantastic journey and story -- thanks for sharing.
It's the inspiration I needed and it's so good to hear that doing it your way does sometimes work out beautifully.
Again, thanks…
