Funny Women

I want to encourage women to submit to humor venues. I urge you; I implore you. Let’s start a revolution and change the world’s mind about who’s funny. Your heart will swell with accomplishment and your breasts will become larger. This I promise.

Hi Virginia. I just had a chance to read Ashes in r.kv.r.y. What a powerful, heart sad story.

Hi Virginia! Glad you enjoyed my post on the 11+. I was a tough ride - the French system is also brutally selective but not that young... Good luck to your daughter and let's catch-up at the next meet-up! Where are you based?

Virginia,

I just read your piece "Ashes." What drew me into the story were the details and the honesty with which you wrote your piece. You described the waiting room quite accurate: box of tissue, pamphlet, sofa, chairs. Which, of course, we readers know will not help whatsoever in relieving the grief. As well, you capture a poignant moment when the narrator looks outside at the world still moving about and living while her world is collapsing. Very truthful piece. Great job.
