"I don't know about the nook, but for kindle I just exported as rtf and then emailed it to my kindle through amazon's free conversion service. I think all e-readers read .txt files?"

"Cheri, Scrivener lets you export in both .doc and .docx format. Exporting to rtf is especially useful so I can send chapters to my e-reader.   If anyone tries Scrivener, it's worth going through the included tutorial."

"Karen, I highly recommend Scrivener. It's really changed the way I write, and is an all-in-one program that even formats for publishing.   A friend of mine wrote about it here: http://theoncominghope.blogspot.com/2011/01/scrivener.html"

I just opened the door to the novelist group for you - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!
