foggy goggled
filled with the
bubbles of teenage
days flowing
through alcohol
laced veins
I watched your
lips
move to
all of the noises
my ears ached to hear
I called you naive
once
its laughable
I was the only
one showing the
crowd
how to breathe
listen
believe
when I should have
known better
I called you a baby
duck
following bright
yellow

Venom

Words become a poison
that flows from room to room
making my heart stop with each new territory covered.
It searches tirelessly until if finds me hiding,
hiding in the eves waiting for the inevitable
screaming is futile, fighting it- pointless.
So I succumb breathing it in deeply,
until my core is frozen in my chest and it has taken me.
Words can be sharp and hatefull
strong and painfully beautiful
but as they leave your lips

On Jan 9th, 2010 my debut novel, SUGAR will celebrate its 10th anniversary and in order to commemorate this milestone I am campaigning to sell 10,000 copies between now and that date.
