A Girl. A Boy. A Wedgie. (and that's not even the funny part)

Woot Woot!  5 weeks of home confinement has driven me close to the edge of insanity so I’m escaping, with or without help.  Mission:  to see Jeff, who lives at home at the County Theatre then feast upon  a chocolate croissant at the coffee shop next door with a warm latte to wash it down.Missions are not easy when you lack bi-ped abilities.  First, I have a purple cast.  Don’t get me started on the cast…See More

Cha Cha Cha...My Dance to Parenthood

http://www.yourbestwritinggroup.com/?p=702March is more than the month of basketball madness in my world, it’s the month of –cha days.  Cha days?  Met-cha.  Gotcha.   The vocabulary of an adoptive parent.  No talk of dilation, epidurals, birthing rooms or PUSH when I speak of my journey to become a mother.  My “birthing experience” included notaries, apostiles, dossiers, birth and current head circumference numbers  and abandonment…See More

$10.00  The price of a parking ticket that allowed me to have one hour of freedom from home confinement.  A bowl of soup savored  in a corner of the restaurant where my walker could be tucked away from public view.   I’ve become a public spectacle as people watch me struggle with a walker through doors of the doctors’ offices, up an elevator and down a hallway.  Maneuvering around  my town proves next to impossible as the town  grew before the era of ADA so steps sandwich both front and back…

“OK”.  And with that one word, my 15 year marriage ended.  We had both given up so there were no fights or last hurrahs to save our union.  I wanted our son.  Done.  He wanted his pension.  OK.  We actually negotiated the division of property at Starbucks over lattes.  Dutch treat!

It doesn’t get any better than that for a friendly divorce.

However, I had spent…

Hello Cheryl!

I want to apologise in my lateness in welcoming you to my group Blooming Late. I was ill with Bronchitis and due to an autoimmune disease which also renders me disabled it was longer than I would have liked before I was strong enough to do more than the minimum in here.

BUT I want to ask you to please if you havent done so already, introduce yourself to the group in our To Kick Things Off discussion and let us know your writing accomplishments and longterm goals.

Also if you have any books already out please list them in OUR GROUPS BOOKS in the pages section on the left hand side of the group page.

You may have already seen that we have a great group of women here who are in all genres and varying stages of writing who are a real source of support and inspiration for writing and I hope you find a real writing home with us!

Please also have a look around at our many discussions and activities in the pages section and see what you would like to add to and participate in. We love participation when you aren't busy writing of course.

I also looked a bit at your blog on here and think you are quite a good writer, Ill be looking forward to seeing you around the group!

WELCOME!

Samantha Stacia
