Profile Information

Who I am:
I've been writing, literally, all my life, and am happy to report that I have made a very good living at it. I eschewed fiction early on when it became apparent that I could make immediate $$ and build a business doing exec writing and off I went, to become Wordsmith to the Elite. It my heart, however, there is a poet and novelist which budded early, but alas, was never allowed to bloom.

Communities such as SheWrites offer the encouragement and tools that busy and talented women writers need. I'm so happy to be a part of this group.
Media outlets that I currently write for:
World Bank, UN, International Development Bank
My writing is:
Nonfiction, Poetry, Journalism

I'm so delighted to hear this! That is the point of the blog, of course, and so many wonderful and generous authors have helped me with providing posts. I'm as inspired by the posts as anyone.

>It was a pleasant surprise to see you using MD Hunt country and the Chesapeake as some of your settings.  Having grown up in DC and Balto, and currently living in Annapolis, these are places of my heart.

:-)

I was born in D.C., and lived as an adult on a horse farm north of Baltimore for several years -- which we still dearly miss. (photos of farm and kids there at http://megwaiteclayton.com/TLOL_slideshow/bookgroup_tlol_part1.shtml)

And even when we lived in L.A., we spent a week every summer at Bethany Beach. When I was writing The Four Ms. Bradwells, it was a real pleasure to have the excuse to go back.

Annapolis is  beautiful!
