A voracious reader, I began writing when I was only 13 and, although my career path was in the cosmetic industry, I continued to write regularly for the past two decades.
I spent two years actively participating in numerous courses at the Gotham Writers’ Workshop, took graduate courses at the Graduate Center at CUNY, and was involved in a five-year workshop activity with five other writers who met weekly. I enjoy writing memoirs; however my current focus is on mystery fiction.
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to, and any scripts or plays I've authored:
I have had short fictions published in The Olivetree Review and The Berkshire Review, and have just completed my first novel, Black Diamonds. (Not published yet.) I am currently writing my second novel, and am committed to becoming a successful author.

Hello Henya,I just finished reading the first 3 chapters of Blow Forward and all I can say is wow. I normally don't read Thrillers but I enjoyed reading this and definitely want to read more. The prose was tight and your research was evident. I had to come and read your profile and I can see that you have spent a lot of time investing in yourself as a writer. I wanted to let you know that it is all paid off. Wishing you all the best.
okay, for some reason, I can't message you. I need to email your crits to you because I was too late! Just finished chapters 3,4 and 5,6,7. if you want me to email them to you, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Henya, I just opened the door to the novelist group for you - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!
"Welcome, V! Good for you for taking the time for yourself to do something you love. It makes you a better mom! I got back into writing the same way, one nap time at a time. I look forward to hearing about your progress!"
"I agree with Niki that combining being a stay at home mom with writing can provide you with a good routine. It worked that way for me when I was working on a first novel (still unpublished, but I do have a second one out there published…"
"Thank you for the encouragement Nikki! We have to persue our dreams no matter what!
