Novel summary/pitch

I'm sort of new and not sure if I'm doing this right but I need opinions on my pitch. I couldn't find a pitch thread that was already started so I figured this was okay. Please let me know if this isn't.Kara’s boyfriend, Phaethon, and her grandfather die in a plane crash, and Kara's only company now is a tribal drum in her head that beats to the tune of her fluctuating emotions. Her grief and loneliness push her to end it all. When Phaethon’s spirit comes back, seventeen-year-old Kara is happy…See More

I'm fairly new so if I've done this wrong don't massacre me.Kara’s boyfriend, Phaethon, and her grandfather die in a plane crash, and Kara's only company now is a tribal drum in her head that beats to the tune of her fluctuating emotions. White Star

YA Paranormal Romance, Mystery
.
Kara thought she had the perfect life, but fate
had her wondering if the afterlife would be
better.

Kara's existence was a lonely one with a cold woman for a
mother and a father who killed himself before she was even born.
A move to her grandfather's house in Lynn Haven, Florida,
had Kara thanking her lucky stars.

Divided by bay waters, this town was about to become a haven
like no other. And those lucky stars - they arranged themselves
into a boyfriend, Phaethon. Lane, Phaethon’s cocky yet humorous
friend, rounds out the trio.

Just like any other teenagers, Phaethon, Kara and Lane are in
middle of every crazy situation possible until tragedy strikes.

Does help come in the form of an aggravating friend, an escape
into insanity or is it a phantom that relieves the grief?

Chaos of ghostly proportions is about to erupt in Kara's
life.

We have one in the novelist group, and I think there is a good one in the 1st novels group as well (though I don't belong so can't say for sure)

Lisa,

With apologies for being tardy with my welcome, we're delighted to have you in the novelist group!

You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. We save the wall for discussion, so please refrain from linking to blog posts there, but do add them in the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread.

And we do a live chat every Wednesday at 1EST; instructions on how to participate if you haven't done so already are in the "Our Water Cooler Wednesdays" box near the top of the group page.
