the view from the bay

Yesterday I had a few fleeting moments on THE VIEW FROM THE BAY ABC's Channel 7, in San Francisco. It was a challenge to get the essence of an edgy, complex novel into a six minutes interview, but the hosts, Janelle Wang and Spencer Christian, asked excellent questions...and somehow I think I managed--to a point. The makeup artist did a fantastic job and I hardly recognize me. You can watch it at www.theviewfromthebay.com - then look for "Healing through Fiction - Maria Espinosa" from the…See More

Hi, Maria, thanks for your comment. I'm encouraged that your novel Dying Unfinished is 192 pages, as the one I am working on now is 160 and I'm struggling to make it longer. Neat that we both wrote about mother/daughter issues. I'm impressed by your National Book Award, and plan to look at more of your website and other links. Happy writing in 2010!
