Hi Miz Sharon. I am writing the blog now. I could not address your entire question because it is too long for post. Also, as autism is a broad term for a wide range of educational/cogntive/learning issues and I don't know your child's particulars I focused on IEP's. I hope it is helpful. If I did NOT address you questions, please let me know - I will try to be more specific.

BTW - I will give a 'shout-out' to your blog. How would you like to describe. In my draft i have "Also, to all who follow this blog, Miz Sharon has a wonderful blog you may want to check out. She regularly presents interesting "finds" (mostly dealing with writing) she's discovered on the internet. " Is that accurate?

Let me know. I will wait for your response before I post.

All the best,
Meryl

Thanks, miz sharon! You made my day. BTW, I will be posting a mock-up cover for my novel next month. I plan on designing my own cover for a printed edition. (if I'm lucky and my book gets published)

Thanks for the idea. I know that IEP's vary somewhat from district to district/ state to state but I will try to address IEP's and hopefully some ideas on playing/working with autistic kids. I will work on it and let you know once it's posted!

On the other hand, I would love to hear more about how you learned to read through comic books! Might I write about that - or would you like to write about that on my blog (or yours)? Let me know!

All the best,
Meryl

Miz Sharon, I just opened the door to the novelist group for you - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. I’ll look forward to chatting with you!
