"1 Chapter tonight in 2+ hours, but it was a complex one. Wrote ~1700 new words, threw out 1100. Much better chapter now though."

Welcome to the fundraising group, Elaine! I hope you find the group and the discussions useful. We are soon planning to start a few things that would assist writers with DIY fundraising projects. Meanwhile, I am interviewing writers and other creatives who have had success with crowdfunding for my blog. To begin with, if you like, please click here to read the interview with a writer who has become the first author to be published by the publishing arm of a crowdfunding platform. She shares how she built a strong online community, and the lessons she learned in the process.
Hello again Elaine, sorry it took me so long to respond. I didn't quite reach my 100,000 word goal, mostly because it became evident that 100,000 words was not going to be enough for a complete story. As much fun as it was to write, I am ready to move on and have since started writing a new novel. :) I hope your have wrangled your plot into submission!
Elaine, We're delighted to have you in the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. We save the wall for discussion, so please refrain from linking to blog posts there, but do add them in the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread.
And we do a live chat every Wednesday at 1EST; instructions on how to participate are in the "Our Water Cooler Wednesdays" box near the top of the group page.

Absolutely!
Thanks for the friend request, Elaine. Definitely be in touch, and I'm sure there will be another seminar soon! Brooke
Thanks! :)
You just said it perfectly, they're bigger than life. That list was more difficult for me than I thought it would be for that very reason. Those kinds of villains make it impossible to hate them!
Both! More tabletop rping than video gaming lately though since my system is on the fritz. :D And thanks for the luck, I'm less than 8000 words away from finishing my first draft! :D I've never written this much before on a single story so I'm uber excited, and admittedly pretty impressed with myself right now. I'd love to hear how your novel writing is going!
Thank you Elaine. I look forward to your feedback.
