Who I am:
I've been doing amateur writing, mostly in the form of collaborative games and small story snippets. I am now working on my first novel effort and using tool and every piece of advice people are willing to give.

When not writing, or reading... I'm an IT professional with a focus on hosting services. My other creative outlets involve rollplaying, either in the shared stories mentioned above or in pen and paper games with friends. Hello again Elaine, sorry it took me so long to respond. I didn't quite reach my 100,000 word goal, mostly because it became evident that 100,000 words was not going to be enough for a complete story.  As much fun as it was to write, I am ready to move on and have since started writing a new novel. :)  I hope your have wrangled your plot into submission!

Elaine, We're delighted to have you in the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. We save the wall for discussion, so please refrain from linking to blog posts there, but do add them in the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread.

And we do a live chat every Wednesday at 1EST; instructions on how to participate are in the "Our Water Cooler Wednesdays" box near the top of the group page.

Both! More tabletop rping than video gaming lately though since my system is on the fritz. :D  And thanks for the luck, I'm less than 8000 words away from finishing my first draft! :D  I've never written this much before on a single story so I'm uber excited, and admittedly pretty impressed with myself right now.  I'd love to hear how your novel writing is going!
