What does it mean to be creative? 

Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary describes creativity as: 

The power to create by bringing something into existence; to produce through imaginative skill; to make or bring into existence something new.

On the Nightstand

I’ve been doing a lot of reading this summer. I made a conscious decision at the beginning of summer that I was going to watch less TV and do more reading. I’ve got a ton of shows on TiVo and, surprisingly, I don’t even care if I don’t catch up on them. BUT, I am really enjoying reading again. ReadThis/Center for Fiction to raise books for NYC kids in need: Elizabeth Gilbert, Jamaica Kincaid, Cecily von Ziegesar

This coming Saturday, April 10, 2010, ReadThis partners with the Center for Fiction to throw a book drive event for 11 public schools and youth groups in NYC (including three public all-girl high schools). She Writes members have helped ReadThis in the past, and we hope you can help now too.
