Chapters 3 & 4

Chapter 3

She woke up next day around 10am when it was almost time to leave the hotel. She had no place to go.  She was still sad, upset and tired and didn’t feel like talking to anyone or meeting someone new. No one in this city knew her name, or who she was, or what is she doing here. She got there by accident and had no plans at all.

Anna quickly washed her face and ran downstairs to inform the receptionist that she will be staying in her room for another day or two. She got…

Some edits to Chapters 1 & 2

Chapter 1

She was calm, her mind was clear and she felt like she wasn’t even present there. She wasn’t scared or worried. She knew it was coming.  In fact, she lived through this many times before and even though it was terrifying from time to time, it always ended well.

She was in her house –not a very solid structure made of thin wood and carton and rather old. Huge storm was coming their way and despite it happening during day it was getting darker and darker outside. It…

Chapter 2

My name is Anna. I am 30 years old, lean and tall golden blonde. My hair is long any my eyes are bright green. I was born and grew up in Norway, so I am more used to colder weather. How did I end up in the Deep South? After graduating from the Medical School of the University of Bergen with a degree in Medical Biology I was offered a teaching job in Alabama. It sounded like an adventure, so, I decided to try. English was a challenge at first, as well as a very different culture. It took me a…

Day 5

It's Day 5 - hurray I made it this far. The only upsetting thing is that I have 0 Likes and 0 comments. Come on, encourage young aspiring writer!

My day today was quite a mess. Morning trip to DMV, it should be intuitive that such a thing can spoil even a great day. The kind of DMV visit I had was the worst. Not only I wasted 3 hours of my live driving, waiting, etc., I also achieved nothing! Anyway enough about that. So the rest of the day wend down the hill after that. I…

Day 4

Today is my writing day. Hurray and yay. Since I decided to write all day long, naturally, all other things that need my attention came up right away. So, I cleaned the office – well, I needed a clean and neat space where I can comfortable spend all day long writing.  Of course, it was Alex’s office and it wasn’t comfortable for writing anyway and I ended up cleaning my room as well. Then it was too hot. I needed some appropriate clothes and it turned out to be an excuse to go through my…

Day 3

Day 3, if yesterday’s writing can be counted as “a day”. Forgot everything I was planning to write… oops. Well, let me complain then. It’s hot. It’s very hot. It’s impossibly hot! The worst part – it’s not going to get any better any time soon. Yes, true story, it will stay above livable temperature for at least next 10 days. I wish it was raining more too. A few drops of rain have fallen, but it didn’t decrease the temperature. It probably only contributed to already high humidity.

I…

Day 2

No mood to write. No mood to do anything. Too hot, too humid. One of these days when no one comes into one’s mind, it’s day to give your mind some rest. Despite strong magnetic storm I haven’t seen any auroras outside. It would be nice to see them since they started to appear around here.  Went outside and it’s just hot, but nothing like auroras in the sky.

Day 1

I am not a writer and I don’t know how to write. It is quite foolish to assume that I could write a book, but here you go, you asked me to write a book so many times and here it is, enjoy my masterpiece. As you know, writing is quite simple, but has 2 basic requirements: you need to have an idea, and you need to have some writing tools. Well, I do have a computer, so, the second part is covered. The first part though, not so much… For starters I’ll just start typing whatever comes to my…
