Within the past year, I came across a jazz vocalist, Thisbe Vos . She is amazing, as a singer and a role model. Thisbe is very talented and in my opinion fearless. She's an artist who desires to live her dream...but she isn't sitting around waiting for it to happen.

She is making it happen.

I have witnessed tenacity, passion and…

Writing Selfish...

Isn't it interesting that when you are making money you never question - and are rarely questioned - about the time invested in your endeavor?

But when your efforts are not a financial cornucopia or even a financial trickle, the time invested may be perceived as selfish?
The sting of it is, you have to be.
Be…

24 Hour Marathon...

Isn't it frustrating that there aren't more hours in the day?

As a mother, wife, writer and friend, to name just a few, I am trying to accomplish so much in a 24 hour period.  I have a deadline for a revision I am working on.  Not to mention polishing the synopsis, query letters and log lines.

And I have a goal to read…

Love...

Love.  Plain and simple.

Though it’s not.
Loving, truly loving another can be hard, takes commitment, and a generous forgiving heart.  Loving takes effort and work and fortitude.…

Cultivate Your Spiritual Garden

Spirituality: an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of his/her being.
I hope for each and every person to explore what spirituality means to them, for them, and then keep digging.
Keep searching for what really speaks to your very core.  What fills your heart, carries through the currents of your veins, makes you feel whole?
Look for and study what settles into your being as truth.  Keep digging and plant each…

Love and Water...from 'Isn't It?'

Isn't it sobering how something so beautiful, life sustaining and cleansing can also cause mass destruction?

Water is shown in photographs to depict purity and tranquility. Water is used in a multitude of cleansing techniques and rituals. We love to taste, hear and feel water.

Imagine a tall cool glass on a hot humid day wetting your mouth and quenching your thirst, with each satisfying swallow. The calming melody of falling water or a running brook, quieting your soul.…

Care and Get Involved...from 'Wisdom's Echo'

It's amazing, how much you learn everyday, from your friends, family, child, husband or a particular incident. Lessons happen anywhere, at anytime. Something you already knew, deep down, but one moment can lend a sense of clarity you didn't have before.

My husband and I were on our way to Starbucks with our children - they love the chocolate chunk cookies! A block away from our destination, a car ran the red light and hit another in the intersection. We immediately pulled up along…

Wisdoms Echo by MK Meredith

I lost my mom many years ago, when I was young. Ever since the same question lingers and I yearn for an answer. If she could have shared with me - with my brothers - one lesson, one kernel of wisdom, one word of encouragement. The one life lesson she'd want me - us know. To live by. What would it be?

So I'm asking you, every mother, every father, every guardian who has cared for, and been responsible for, the life of another. I am asking you. What would you say if you only had one…

Love Your Amazing Self from 'Wisdom's Echo'

How do we teach our children to love themselves when, as adults in our infinite wisdom, we still have difficulty with this seemingly simple directive?

I would like to say that I have achieved this, though at times, I know I'm a work in progress. So, that's not to say that I never look at myself and find something I want to improve, we all do that to some extent...or should. Such as, work to be a bit healthier, nicer or more in the moment. I'm always striving to be a better mom, a… Continue

Biology of Attraction from 'Isn't it'...by MK Meredith

Isn't it unreal, the biology of attraction, regardless of age?

I was perusing my husband's GQ magazine, and came across an add for Dolce Gabanna's Light Blue, men's fragrance with the model, David Gandy.

Now let me caveat this by telling you that I have an amazingly handsome husband.

He literally fits the bill for any romance novel hero ever written. Six foot, four inches of broad shouldered, long legged, thickly muscled yumminess. Oh and he's a sweet heart too. My… Continue
