Theirs To Claim

Zelina was on the date of her life until said date tried to kill her! Saved by a blue-eyed wolf and waking up in his bed wasn’t what she expected. To find his brother on the other side wasn’t either. There was only so much a girl could take.

Tarquin and Centurion knew…

Of Fire and Ice : Excerpt update (Criticism Welcome)

Perhaps life is much more than the miniscule specks of sand that dot the horizon and disappear in a rush of decimating winds for mortals. For the gods, however, it is but a blink in their time span. That is quite possibly the reason why, at times, they chose to manipulate outcomes and turns of events for their own gains. Such is the mark of my life. Small and momentarily entertaining for them, my life was grueling and cruel for me as I grew closer and closer to my acceptance of mortality.…

Tonight: A Short Story

He watched me on the subway. Dark eyes. Fathomless. Nearly lost in the dark swathes of his hair around his face. I felt the first tendrils of fear sink into my flesh. I knew him. Had seen him around town lately, around me. Moving silently through people as if he was a ghost, as if he wasn’t there. But he was. Those eyes following me everywhere I went. Into my day, my night, my dreams. He followed me and I couldn’t let him go. This dark eyed man with darker hair and pale as moonlight skin. He…

Good Trade: A Short Story

You can call me crazy…I really don’t care. Been crazy for the last twelve years according to the doctors and you don’t see me complaining. Been enjoying it really. Free meals three times a day, pills to make the bad dreams go away, and nobody who can turn my life around. Yea, I know, I get it. You think I’m crazy too. So what? Let me tell me a little story and you can call me crazy all you want.

Daddy said my mouth was a blossom. A fine flower that opened every morning…

Getting a story together, in between others...

I wonder why, as a writer, I never seem to be able to stick to one story or idea from start to finish. I always seem to teeter back and forth among several different stories, writing on all of them at the same time, until finally several books come out. I am not sure if this is a good thing or not…am I spreading myself to thin? Who knows…but I like it. I love the feeling of being able to create so many things, to explore so many different worlds. I suppose the test will come when that GREAT…

Writers helping Writers by reading each other's work (For real and not just lip service!)

Nya B, let me begin by saying you have inspired this blog post today!!

I have been reading a blog today that, for all intents and purposes, makes me wish I was an agent. It's just that dang good! As it is not my work, I will not tell you about it or give a snippet of it, but I will say it positively brilliant. Now, to the point of my blog post. We all would love to have readers of our works. To have other writers critique us, get the word out there, and get each other's help.…

Memorable Quotes from your writing (Every author has them)

So I know for all of my published works, and some that I have yet to finish, that I have some quotes that still make me laugh, cry, get angry, or say, yes that is my character. Here I'd like to post a quote from every one of my published works and my upcoming piece, and I'd like you to share yours as well!!! Who knows, sometimes a quote can lead to an interest, that leads to a read, that leads to a fan.

Happy Reading

Programs that help writers wirte?!

Hey all!!!

I was interested in how many members here use programs like Scrivener, Dramatica, Write5, or WriteWayPro (etc) to write their novels? I am one of them but some I have spoken to either: a) don't know what I am tolking about or b) think it is a waste of time.

I know it has helped me immensly with organization and keeping my thoughts together (not to mention enough big names use the programs themselves lol!)..

Anyway, does anyone else…

Urban Fantasy vs Paranormal Romance: An Author's Thoughts

OK... I am sure this question has been asked before and will continue to be asked again, but really what is the difference?

Urban Fantasy:

A longer, often in first person POV, novel with fantasy elements set in real world, be it past present or future, story that may or may not have romance in it.

Paranormal Romance:

A story, may be longer or story to each her own, story with…
