I'm currently in the process of putting together a fiction piece that describes my experience when I had to relocate to Huntsville, AL from St. Louis, MO. I'm making it a fiction piece but telling the story of how a woman copes with an unexpected relocation when she's never been outside of the city she was born and raised in. This is a woman in her mid-forties, comfortable with her life, but must relocate or face unemployment. She has two children, one 20 and the other 10. The obstacles she must overcome are (1) custody issues taking her 10 year old out of state when her ex refuses to grant his permission, and (2) her 20 year old who's just found out she's pregnant.
I'm trying to get a good draft in around 2500 words by the end of this month. Can I do it? I am an admitted procrastinator, so I'm definitely planning to push myself and do it! Think positive.

OK, I'm starting to feel bad because since I shared what I was writing, I have not been able to even think about my story. I think I may be having a procrastination minute. Tomorrow is Saturday. I don't have to go to work so I'll have a fresh mind. I promise to add more to my draft tomorrow.
