Topic: Building Community, Resources, & Strategies for Global Writers

 Whether we live abroad, write about other cultures, are trying to market our work in a another language, or even just find ourselves drawn to that strange country called "solitary work" where creativity usually hides, writing can leave us with some pretty isolating challenges.

This chat is designed to bring us together to share our resources, strategies, questions, and frustrations with being global writers.

Questions we'll cover include:

1. What are some of the most useful resources you rely on to stay in touch with the writing/literary/publishing community and/or industry, particularly when you're far flung?
2. What are some of the biggest obstacles you face as a global writer--and can anyone else on the chat offer insight or strategies for overcoming these?
3. How do you build a sense of community for your writing, especially if you live in an area without an already-established literary community or community in your language?
4. For people who want to break into writing either about travel or cross-cultural life, what steps are useful to take?

If we have time, we'll also cover any other questions or issues people in the chat want to bring up.
