I blog regularly in support of my book which I published almost a year ago. The thing is, I'm not sure how effective the blog is in encouraging readers to invest in my book. I enjoy blogging for the most part and it certainly keeps my writing skills sharp. But some days, I feel like I'm talking to myself. For all of you bloggers, what has been your experience in blogging vs. book sales off of your website? I would love to hear from you. I could use a little encouragement about now... :)

Comment by Lisa Thomson on February 6, 2013 at 6:41pm Thanks for your encouragement, Tamara. Yes, it does feel that way when there are so few comments or feedback. I'll keep plugging away. At least unique visitors have grown so that's good news. I will check out your blog.
Comment by Tamara Hawkins on February 1, 2013 at 8:28am Hi, Hooray and congratulations on your book!! I blog and do not have a book, one day I will! My best advice to you is not never give up. There are people out there reading what you post even though it seems as if you are talking to yourself. They may not respond, but they see it, just as those people who walk by the the adult who knocked over something in the aisle, either they walk by as nothing happened, stopped and picked it up or tell an employee. In your case, you need the person who will tell the employee. Word of mouth advertising :) In my opinion if you stop then your self promotion stops with it. If you don't have faith and encouragement in yourself who will. Good luck to you and keep up the awesome work!
